Publications Relevant to German Colonies & Post Offices Abroad Philately

The table below contains a list of references that are useful in collecting the German Colonies and Post Offices Abroad.  Most are purely philatelic, though there are several non-philatelic works that provide historical information on the Colonies and Post Offices Abroad.

Each entry includes basic information about the work, as well as images of the cover and sample pages.

The listings can be filtered using the blanks in each column header (if applicable), or via the global search option at the upper left of the table.  For example, if you wanted to see only those works relevant to Togo, simply enter “Togo” in the filter blank of the Areas column.

Information on the publisher, date of publication, and source from which a copy can be obtained can be accessed by clicking on Details in the last column of the row.  NOTE:. The sources listed are typically those from which the work could originally be obtained, if known.  However, many or most of these works are out of print and can no longer be obtained from the original source.  The information provided is as accurate as possible, but with limited print runs, there is no guarantee for how long it will remain accurate for any particular work.  If the work is not listed for sale at the link provided, your best option would be searching used book sources on the Internet or auction sites such as Philasearch and eBay.
